Vertical 06 / 11

Auto Warranty

This vertical earned its reputation through robocalls and fake "final notices". We run the opposite: owners who searched for cover, asked for a call and know they are talking to an independent provider.

A car owner looks under the hood of his SUV in a garage at night.

Who buys, and why

Buyers are vehicle service contract providers, administrators and sales floors. Most work inbound calls and live transfers, with some outbound teams taking posted records.

Eligibility is mechanical: the year and mileage of the car decide whether a contract can be written, so those questions come first.

Auto Warranty programmes run on all three. Which one suits you comes down to how quickly your team picks up and how many buyers one record should reach. It is settled on paper before the first click.

Your scorecard

The numbers auto warranty teams tend to judge a source by. During a test we ask for them per source and per day so we can tune. They are measures for you to fill in, not results we claim.

The rulebook

One consent standard, every vertical. Each funnel collects prior express written consent that names the business, or the short list of businesses, allowed to call or text. The FCC's 2023 one-to-one rule was struck down by the 11th Circuit in January 2025 and never came into force. We name sellers anyway: it reads more honestly to consumers, buyers often require it, and it holds up better under challenge.

FTC Act Section 5. Unfair or deceptive practices are illegal. Here that means never claiming a warranty is "expiring" when we do not know, and never implying a link to the maker or dealer.

Accurate terms. Most products are vehicle service contracts, not warranties in the legal sense. Creative uses the right words and promises no cover the contract does not give.

Telemarketing Sales Rule. Sellers must give TSR disclosures and not misrepresent material terms. Regulators have pursued auto warranty robocall operations repeatedly.

State rules. Many states regulate service contract providers, and some require registration or specific disclosures.

TCPA. No prerecorded or artificial-voice outreach at all. Only consumer-initiated inquiries with seller-specific consent.

Ask any publisher this

  1. Do your ads ever suggest the maker or dealer is calling?
  2. How do you capture mileage and vehicle age?
  3. What happens with free-look chargebacks?

Our answers come in writing, before you commit to a test.

Ways to receive it

  • Inbound calls with IVR vehicle screening
  • Live transfers
  • Direct post for outbound teams

Each record travels with its source, landing page, disclosure version, timestamp, IP and, if you need one, a consent-certificate reference. More on how it works.

Quick questions

Do you ever use robocalls?

No. Every contact starts with the consumer.

How are chargebacks in the free-look period handled?

We agree a return and chargeback rule in writing before the test.
